Miscellaneous Sponatneous Extemporaneous Doxology

God its odd how you’ve shod us in peace within
to release us from a life once leased to sin.
Father why you bothered with this sinner I might never know,
but my spirit’s ever hotter with your light’s inner glow.
So take these meager words as a sign we’re eager to learn
and our believin, shux, make it even speedier
like Chuck Eager leavin us in laughter in his afterburn.

  1. Pip Lucas says:

So hold me closer, Oh God, than I’ve ever been.
I know I’ve turned to you before then turned right back to sin,
but you are the mercy, the grace, the God that never changes.
I hold to you and know that your not a distant stranger.
Making me, a better man, day by day.
It’s a thought that still seems to surprise and amaze.
Every single thing I do, everything I mess up,
it’s like you’re waiting there, saying, “man I’m here to pick you up”.
I fold in your arms, I crumble in your arms.
I’m not ashamed of you because someday I’ll die in your arms.
I live in your arms, I even cry in your arms
no woman, drug, porn, sex, could be as good as your arms.
